1 CAMPER TUITION
Support Our Programs
We Rock! Chicago welcomes campers regardless of their ability to pay tuition; nearly half of all campers receive full or partial financial aid. We rely on donations to subsidize the cost of campers’ attendance, as well as funds to keep our organization up and running.
More Ways to Donate
We also hold plenty of awesome fundraisers throughout the year. If you’d like to have a good time for a good cause, sign up for our newsletter and we’ll make sure to keep you posted when something’s coming up.
You can also make a big impact by sponsoring a camper. Your donation of $500 will provide financial aid for one camper to attend camp FREE of charge. Aid is distributed on basis of financial need only. In return for your generosity, you will receive two tickets to our end of camp showcase and a CD of the music created during the week.
Interested in sponsoring a camper? Please email us at info@girlsrockchicago.org.
Wishlist
Need an easy way to support We Rock! Chicago? Pick an item (or two!) from our wish list! Each and every item donated will make a difference and help our programs run smoothly. And remember, all donations are tax deductible! By using our Amazon wish list, you can have items shipped directly to us:
2654 W Schubert Ave #1W
Chicago, IL 60647
Or, schedule a time to drop them off! Email info@werockchi.org for details.
Gear Donations
We Rock! Chicago is accepting limited donations of musical instruments and equipment in new, gently used or good condition. Our organization depends upon these donations in order to uphold our commitment to creating a supportive and educational environment around music. Our status as a 501c3 non-profit means that your donation will be tax-deductible.
More Info About Gear Donations
We are currently in need of:
- Practice Bass Amps
- Electric Bass Guitars in Good to Excellent Condition
- Lightweight 61-key Keyboards
We have very limited storage space and are currently no longer accepting drum sets or hardware, speaker cabinets/PAs, or large combo amplifiers or cabinets.
Unfortunately, we CANNOT accept donations of broken or damaged instruments, acoustic instruments (i.e acoustic guitars, mandolins, violins, ukuleles), home audio equipment (i.e. vinyl, CDs, CD players, tape decks, home audio wiring), practice drum pads, pianos or organs, and woodwind or brass instruments.
Sometimes we find ourselves with donated gear that we can no longer use. In these cases, we sell the donated gear to someone who is able to use it, returning all proceeds to the WeR!C operating fund in furtherance of our charitable purpose. Please let us know if you have any restrictions in mind for the use of your donation. Feel free to ask us if you have any questions!
Please email gear@werockchi.org for all gear donation inquiries.
Rachel Rosen Memorial Fund

Rachel Rosen was born and raised in New York but chose Chicagoland to raise her two sons with her husband Dan. A lifelong lover of music, in 2014 Rachel finally traded sides from the audience to the stage, joining up with friends to form a cover band. Rachel sang and played guitar, and brought a fierce passion and amazing energy to every show, every rehearsal, every backyard informal jam. It was a fitting coda to a remarkably inspiring life, filled with adventure, art, music, devoted friendships, and intense love for her family.
In January 2020, Rachel passed away after more than a decade fight against breast cancer. One year later, her family and friends established the Memorial Fund in her honor to help We Rock! Chicago continue to empower young musicians from all over the Chicago area, regardless of ability to pay. This fund will cover a variety of needs – from helping support a diverse and talented volunteer pool to purchasing gear and equipment. Please honor Rachel’s legacy and help support We Rock! Chicago.

Meghan Galbraith Scholarship

Meghan Lee Galbraith was born in Waukegan, IL in 1979. While young, she tinkered with drums then taught herself to play guitar. At age 18 she moved to Chicago and began to write her own music. With encouragement from others, she published the album “Best Shot” under the name Meghan Lee. Not long afterwards, she began performing as frontwoman for the band 8 Inch Betsy, which recorded and toured extensively. She served as a volunteer with We Rock! Chicago, enjoying the experience very much. Meghan left this world in 2015, leaving family, many friends and aspiring musicians to carry on.
We!RC created the Meghan Galbraith scholarship in her honor to recognize campers who carry on Meghan’s caring attitude and infectious positivity. The Galbraith Family has made it possible for us to offer this special award to two campers each year. With your support, we can honor even more.
Want to sponsor our camps and help us foster the creative expression, self-esteem, and community awareness of our youth?
